With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Massicot Rowan of Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on May 18, 2024 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert Ray Rowan; her parents, Wilfred John and Laurence Marie Broussard Massicot; her sons, Everett William Gray and Lawrence Dale Gray; her stepson Donald C. Elkins; her son-in-law Dwayne Dupre Breaux; and her siblings, Lilia Lighter, Betty Joyce Mayo, Alverta Bilbo, Margery Howard, Mildred Whittington, Iris Durel, Wilfred John "Jay" Massicot of Lee Joseph, Jules Massicot, Irvin Massicot and Stanley Massicot.
She is survived by: her friends, Pokeno and Rummikub; her daughter Florence Elkins Breaux of Arnaudville, LA; her grandchildren, Ann Marie Olson, Becky Hubbard, Dale Lynn Corona, Blaine Gray, Denae Nunley and Ronald'Tony'Landry; and her stepgrandchildren, Cindy Carr and Greg Elkins. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous dear nieces, nephews.
