She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Dumesnil, and Henry Dumesnil, Sr.; her former husband Albert Haire; her husband Sam Chiapetta; her children, Kenneth Haire and Judy Robichaux; her siblings, Nellie Gottschalk, Genevieve Falterman, Grace LeBoeuf, Gloria Garlotte, Henry Dumesnil, Jr., Freddie Dumesnil and Leroy Dumesnil, Sr.; and her sons-in-law, Paul Robichaux and Harris John.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Hubbard (Joe) of Summerdale, AL, Cindy Bailey (Wilson) of New Iberia, Stephanie John of Lafayette and Gail Breaux (Glenn) of New Iberia; and her daughter-in-law Robin Haire. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Walters Funeral Home (2424 N University Ave, Lafayette, LA 70507). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:15 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (2300 N University Ave, Lafayette, LA 70507).
