Adam Gary Jr Obituary
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Acadian Funeral Home for Adam Gary Jr., 68, who died on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. interment will be held at a later date. Mr. Gary was born in Iberia Parish on October 1, 1948.
He enjoyed drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes, sitting outside, and watching cowboy movies. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Elaine Romero Gary of New Iberia, one son, William J. Gary Sr. and wife Gypsy Freeman, three daughters, Lisa G. Leblanc and husband Gerald Thrasher, Melissa Gary and husband Jessie Landry Sr. and Tressy Gary and friend Joseph Leblanc; three brothers, Gerald Gary Sr., Raymond Romero and wife Pearly Romero, and Joseph Jimmie Gary and wife Mary Elaine B. Gary, seven grandchildren, William J. Gary Jr. and wife Ericka L. Gary, Courtney Gary and husband Mitch Romero, Brittany Neisser and husband Emery Fontenot Jr., Nicki Neisser and husband Raymond Comeaux, Mandy Matherne and husband Joshua Landry Sr., Kea Bagwell and husband Brad Romero, and Dusty Bagwell and husband Lauren Bagwell; eighteen great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Noah Hyman, Cierra and Hunter Gary, Ava and Jared Segura, Khloe , Baylie, and Malorie Romero, Hannah and Ethan Maturin, Dylyn and Cylyn Romero, Joshua Jr., Jordan, Jaxxon, and Jayden Landry and Maclyn Bagwell; along with a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Adam Gary Sr. and Nolia Maturin Gary, one brother, Louis Edward Gary Sr. two sisters, Joyce Dore and Louanna Boudreaux
