She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Batiste, and Florence Batiste, Sr.; her son Warren Batiste; her great grandchild Gabrielle Seymore; and her siblings, John, Edward, Herbert, Ernest, Jr., Richard Batiste, Elnora B. Johnson, Emily Williams and Enola Henderson.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas, Michael (Alesia), Ronald, Henry, Horace, Danny Batiste, Pleasant Matthews, Marilyn Batiste Dorsey and Susan Matthew; and her sister Jessie M. Albert. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
