He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney "Pete" and Marie "Sue" Gauthreaux Himel; his grandson Regan John Desormeaux; his parents-in-law, Clarence and Lizzie Boudreaux; and his sister Nora Himel Tardiff.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Boudreaux Himel; his daughter Angel Desormeaux (Brian); and his grandson Gavin Desormeaux. He is also survived by his godchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins, and his special companion.
