Bates of Birmingham, AL. and Tokeysha Jackson of Birmingham, AL.; her parents-in-law, Sadie Williams and Oscar Pickens; her sibling-in-law Joy Byrd Warren (Percy); her grandparents, Joseph Turner, Jr., Georgine Bates, Sr., Lottie Vaughn and Emma Byrd; and her aunts and uncles, Geraldine Bates, Evelyn Bates Wegener (Mark), Shauna Jones-Williams, Sharon L. Vaughn of Birmingham, AL., Julian Major (Letha), John Vaugh (Teresa) and Walter Vaugh of Birmingham, AL.. She is also survived by nephews, cousins, other relatives and good friends.
