He was predeceased by: his wife Glory Juanita Devillier Johnson; his son Brian "Chris" Johnson; his parents, Joseph Ray Johnson, Sr. and Eva Mae; his brothers, Alton Johnson, Clevon Johnson, James Edward "Ed" Kimble and Ross Jake Kimble; and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Johnson and Jim Thellen.
He is survived by: his children, Ethan "Poppa" Johnson (Jonalyn Beard Johnson) of Prairieville and Lisa Johnson Dufour (Cliff Dufour) of Baton Rouge; his siblings, Joseph Ray "JoJo" Johnson, Jr. of Prairieville, Ella Mae Thellen of Prairieville and Gurley Payton (Vernon) of Melville; his grandchildren, Blake Johnson (Heather), Amber Johnson (Caleb Dupre, Sr.), Hunter Dufour (Christine Dufour) and Seth Johnson; his great grandchildren, Harley Duplechain, Caleb Dupre II, Gunnar Johnson and Paisley Dupre; and his daughter-in-law Janice Johnson of Krotz Springs.
