He is survived by: his wife Jean Elizabeth Price Ellis of Krotz Springs; his children, Joel Pink Ellis, Jr., Wayne Ellis, Sr., Mildred Skrantz, John A. Ellis, Rebecca Rouse, Theresa Ellis, Curtis Roman and Richard Dean Ellis; and his siblings, Vitula Dupree, Jessie Ellis and Gloria Faye Bihm. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
