He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Joseph Venable and Amelia Patin Venable; his former wife Nita Louise "Tooty" Miller Venable; his wife Regina Venable; his son Calvin Venable; and his brothers, Thomas Courville, Joseph "Jay" Venable and Mike Venable.
He is survived by: his son Charles J. Venable (Leona); his granddaughter Heather Venable Savoie (Kelly); his great grandchildren, Emmett Savoie, Lucian Savoie and Elijah Savoie; and his siblings, Rita Mae Hebert, Martha Ann Venable, Janie Jane Venable, Jack Venable and Freida Venable.
