He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Barker and Nita Ellis Corley; his siblings, Zelma Knight, Vernon Johnson and Ross Barker; his sons, Jesse Lee Barker and Donald Barker; and his stepfather Jesse Corley.
He is survived by: his sons, Franklin "Do" Barker (Susie) of Melville and Harold Barker (June) of Krotz Springs; his granddaughters, Rachel Fontenot and Theresa Barker; and his sister Maxine Miller of Kentwood. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren and twenty-five great-great grandchildren.
