He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys "Ollie" Cortez; his parents, Roy Jean and Essie Mae Granier Cortez; and his siblings, Geraldine Bertrand and Skylar "Buck" Cortez.
He is survived by: his children, Erica Thibodaux (Patrick) and Luke Cortez; his granddaughters, Emily and Abigail Thibodaux; and his sisters, Joyce Kraemer (Robert) and Cheryl Mahler.
