She was predeceased by: her husband Callen Louis Dempster; her parents, Lionel Simon and Annette Amedee Simon; and her siblings, Leo Simon, Lea Becnel, Lena Himel and Mae Martinez.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Dempster (Rosetta), Callen Dempster, Jr. (Annette), Barnett "Joe" Dempster (Teli), Tana Dempster, Jan Martinez (Mark), Marla Loupe (Randall) and Annette Glad (Matt); and her siblings, Larry Simon, Therese Cazenave and Kate Wood. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.
