She was predeceased by: her husband Robert "Bob" Avery; her parents, John Garcia and Esther Garcia; her brother Victor Garcia; and her son-in-law Otis Lee.
She is survived by: her daughters, Theresa Fisher of Lafayette, Diana Parker (Kevin) of Arlington, Ruth Burdges (Wally) of Shreveport, Maria Carroll (Paul) of Des Moines and Shawn Wallace (Mickey) of Pineville; and her brother John "Sonny" Garcia (Yolanda) of Aliso Viejo, California. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
