She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Johnson and Inez Johnson; her son Wilton "Bro" Simmons, Jr.; and her siblings, Willie Johnson, Sr., Leroy Johnson, Lorena Martin, Annie Johnson, Ethel Cole, Ida Smith and Rose Washington.
She is survived by: her spouse Wilton Simmons Sr.; her daughter Donald J. Simmons (Mechelle) of Lake Charles; and her grandchildren, Erma Parker (Arthur) of Houston, TX and Madeline Watson (Van) of Stockton. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
