He was predeceased by: his wife Terry Sonnier; his parents, Lee Sonnier and Della Sonnier; his son Dwayne Godeaux; and his siblings, John Fontenot, Annabell Bertrand, Laddie Pelican, Margie Chapman and Arthur Sonnier.
He is survived by: his children, Marshall Sonnier, Wendy Rougeau (Michael) and Mark Godeaux; his siblings, Angie Sonnier, Alvena Williams, Alton "Poouchie" Sonnier and Rose Fontenot; and his son Street. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Reed Chapel at Riley Smith & Sons (315 N 14th St, Kinder, LA 70648). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
