He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Buck" Bowles and Virginia Bowles; his son Gaylin Thompson; and his brothers, Lynn and Glenn Bowles.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bowles; his children, Jessie Courville (Matthew) of Kinder, Stacy Thompson (Danny) of Longville and Waylin Thompson (Jessica) of DeQuincy; his daughter-in-law Tara Thompson of Sulphur; and his brother Jimmy Bowles. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home - Kinder (315 N 14th St, Kinder, LA 70648). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the Shiloh Cemetery.
