He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Ray Elam; his sister Rhonda Elam; his grandparents, Lee, Rhea Elam, Myron and Katherine Wood; and his aunts and uncles, Larry, Irma Elam, Roscoe and June Thomas.

He is survived by: his mother Sharon Wood Elam; and his sister Amelia Elam. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
