He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Tippen and Mamie Waugh Tippen; and his children, Laurie Tippen and Ronald Ortego. He is survived by: his wife Verian A. Tippen; his children, Daphne Smith (Kyle) of Wimberley, TX, Michael Ortego, Crystal Broussard of Lake Charles, LA, Brent Theriot (Karen) of Sulphur, LA and Evelina Nappier (Terry) of Magnolia, TX; his grandchildren, Patrick, Laurel, Brandon, Tiffany, Alex, Jessica, Christopher and Gavin; and the mother of his child Wanda Fortenberry. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and family friends.
