He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Martar Sr. and Bessie Mae Nolan Martar; his sons, Richard and Byron Martar; and his siblings, R. L., Hewie, John, Carl, Thomas, Joe Martar and Marteel Sammons.
He is survived by: his wife Vaunda Jean Martar (Pack) of Kilbourne, LA; his daughters, Rhonda Posey (John) of Kilbourne, LA and Carla Martar of Greenville, MS; his siblings, Bill Martar of Eudora, AR and Elizabeth "Liz" Smith of Kilbourne, LA; and his grandchildren, Dwan, Aaron, Adrian, Jacob, Seth and Christopher. He is also survived by nieces, nephews friends.
