With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Zilpha Lea Smith (Kentwood, Louisiana), who passed away on May 27, 2020 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ashford Varnado and Mae Varnado; her husband Dick Smith; her siblings, Donald Varnado and Myrthe Erwin; and her granddaughter Monica Latham.
She is survived by: her daughters, Connie Oubre (Bootsie), Cathy LeJeune (Brian) and Richelle Latham (Bert); and her grandchildren, Bruce LeJeune (Jennifer), Kimberly Cleveland (Darryl), Zachary Oubre (Becky) and Alisha Lee (Dustin). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
