He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Lee Newman Sr. and Dicy Neva Smith. He is survived by: his children, Perry Newman Kentwood (Ginger), Randall Newman (Hannah), Karen Mizell Amite (Mickey) and Laura Newman-Alvarez (Frank); his stepdaughters, Tabitha Coleman (Andy) and Heather Phillips (Russell); and his sister Myrtie Newman Wofford of Kentwood, LA. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
