He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Thomas Hilburn and Annie Ruth Hightower Hilburn; his grandparents, Clarence Hilburn, Lula D. Hilburn, Luther Hightower and Velma Hightower; and his parents-in-law, Jimmy Dale Pierce, Sr. and Brenda Gail Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Pierce Hilburn; his son Joshua Gilroy (Shauna) of New York; his siblings, Cheryl H. McGlothren (Brent) of Ponchatoula, Lesia H. Jenkins (Ricky) of Franklinton and James E. Hightower; his brother-in-law Jimmy Dale Pierce, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Keegan Gilroy, Vance Gilroy and Kyla Gilroy of NewYork. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
