He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Pike Pezant; his son Stuart Jay Pezant; his parents, Willie Paul Pezant and Eliza Jane Rhodus Pezant; and his sister Jonnie Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Allison Gutierrez (JB), Mary Ann Willson (Paul) and Arnold Pezant (Danielle); and his siblings, Bobbie Brashear (George), Paul Pezant (Jimmie) and Halbert Pezant (Hideko). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.
