It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Slaven of Kentwood, Louisiana, who passed away on February 12, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fletcher Slaven and Gertrude Brooks Slaven; and his siblings, JD Slaven, Johnny Slaven, Joe Slaven, Glendora White, Doralee Slaven and Diane Slaven.
He is survived by: his sons, Jim Fletcher Slaven (Jimbo) and Patrick Eugene Slaven (Pat); his wife Sharon Ann Wilson Slaven; his daughters-in-law, Jawana Slaven and April Slaven; his grandchildren, Stephanie Slaven (Aaron), Krystal Campbell (Rick), Beau Slaven, Hunter Slaven (Logan), Shelby Slaven, Chloe Slaven, Dusti Smith (Dylan) and Laken Smith (Matt); and his great grandchildren, Carter Troia, Abigail Campbell, Avery Campbell, Fletcher Slaven, Karter Abernathy, Jaci Smith, Easton Smith and Jude Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
