Though Ivel may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan "Jack" Samford and Ella Smith Samford; her grandmother Lula Smith; and her husband Felix Potts of Kentwood, Louisiana.. She is survived by: her children, Susan Partrich (Jimmy), Warren Potts (Kathy), Gregg Potts (Penny) and Amy Reames (Steve). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the East Fork Baptist Church (17278 LA-1054, Kentwood, LA 70444). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home.
