He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Varnado and Irma Warren Varnado; and his siblings, Norman Varnado, Ina Wheat, Fred Varnado and Rosemary Yantis.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ballard Varnado; his daughter Gretchen Simpson; his grandchildren, Micah and Sarabeth Simpson; and his brother Glen Varnado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Kentwood (500 5th St, Kentwood, LA 70444). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
