He was predeceased by: his wife Sally; his parents, Arthur and Lyda; his son Don Jr.; and his son-in-law Dr. Randolph Howes.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Howes and Jaye Piatt (Stacie Piatt); and his grandchildren, Zacherie and Zoey Piatt.
