Carolyn Bates Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Bates (Kentwood, Louisiana), who passed away on May 29, 2019 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Mittie Alford McNabb; her siblings, Gerald McNabb and Katherine McNabb; and her nephew Mark McGregor. She is survived by: her husband Fernie Lamar Bates; her sons, Timothy (Laura) and Johnny (Maria); her grandchildren, Barrett (Becky), Lance (Kortnie) and Chelsea; and her great grandchildren, Alyvia, John David, Kynlie and Rylee. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery fund.
