It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bettye Smith (Kentwood, Louisiana), born in Mount Hermon, Louisiana, who passed away on June 2, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Bettye Lou Smith (Holiday); her sisters, Katherine Strickland and Edna Earl Crawford; and her son Ronnie Eugene Smith (Michele Smith). She is survived by: her husband Claude Eugene Smith; her daughters, Sandy Smith Vicknair and Cheryl Smith Braud (Michael Braud); her grandchildren, Krystle Vicknair, Reeve Kirkland, Corinne Kirkland, Abigail Smith and Ryan Smith; her great grandchild Waylyn Vicknair; and her sister Linda Welch. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
