He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Taylor and Mary E. "Lizzie" Taylor; his wife Inez Sullivan Taylor; and his siblings, Albert Taylor, Dewey Taylor, Edgar Ray Taylor, Flora Mae Lathan, Bobbie Jean Crager and Geneva Tyler.
He is survived by: his sons, Elgy Duane Taylor of Kenner, LA and Edmund "Don" Taylor (Pat) of Toxey, AL; his brother James "Jimmy" Taylor of Oregon; his grandchildren, Dr. Jeffery Taylor, Katie LeBaron, Michael Taylor, Michelle Taylor, Wendy Taylor and Donna Williams; his great grandchildren, Carter, Grant, Reagan, Alyssa, Addy, Ethan and Everly; and his great great grandchild Skye.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Freeman Funeral Home Chapel (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Eret Cemetery (21 F F Clark Dr, State Line, MS 39362).
