It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leatrice McCann Bitzer of Kenner, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, John Edward Thomas, Jr. (Maria) and Cheryl Lea Spies (Dewey); her stepchildren, Jody Ann Bitzer and Pamela Jean McGuffin; and her grandchildren, Nicole McMyne (Danny), Stephanie Parks, Jamie Thomas (John), Kelly Hondroulis (Justin), Laura "Lu" Thomas (Stuart), John "Johnny" Thomas, III (Jennifer), Kristie Valega, Amber Lambert (Marcus), Michelle Harpster (Sheldon), Angela Liles (Brice), Lisa Howard (A. J.), Alex McGuffin (Sara), Dana McGuffin (Charles) and Sara McGuffin (Jett). She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
