He is survived by: his wife Frances Kaye Lewing; and his children, Joseph Strickland (Angela), Cynthia Procell (Dennis), Emily Teer (Jeff), Kim Burchell (Tracy), David Ashby and Rhonda Ashby. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
