He is survived by: his wife Peggy Miller of Shreveport, LA; his children, Debbie Mayo of Tyler, Amy Gay of Marshall, Fred Joseph Miller of Houston and LaVonna Saye of Houston; his stepsons, Kenneth Crooks and Tommy Buckner; his sister Sandra Chittum; his nephew Ryan Chittum; his niece Summer Chittum Ratzlaff; his parents, Finis Daniel Miller and Clara Louise Miller Sinclair; his sister Mary Dan Wren; and his stepson Kelly Crooks. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Shriner's Childrens Hospital.
