He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Mayfield and Thelma Mayfield of Shreveport, LA; his siblings, Roy M. Mayfield, Phillips Mayfield, Jimmie Mayfield, Billy Mayfield and Bettye Putch; and his stepson Russell Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Joyce Mayfield; his siblings, Ken Mayfield of Longview, TX, Glenda Castro of Rogers, AR and Delores Carter (Randy) of Bella Vista, AR; and his stepchildren, Sherry Thomasson, Carol Schoof (Jeff) of Grand Prairie, TX, Annette Mathews (Danny) of Waskom, TX, Jimmy Dement Jr. of Waskom, TX and Matthew Dement of Wylie, TX. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
