It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mitchell Lane Guidry of Kaplan, Louisiana, who passed away on September 26, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Mitchell Lane departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mitchell Lane. Though Mitchell Lane may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Guidry and Erose Thibodeaux; and his brother Abram Guidry. He is survived by: his wife Alberta T Guidry of Abbeville; his children, Phillip Michael Guidry of Lafayette and Robin (Cole Mire) of Kaplan; and his siblings, Sheila Barnett (Russell) of Baton Rouge, Blair Guidry (Cindy) of Breaux Bridge, Laura Colligan (David) of Church Point and Guy Guidry (Kim) of Carencro.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan (300 N Eleazar Ave, Kaplan, LA 70548). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
