May Rose F. Abshire Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of May Rose F. Abshire (Kaplan, Louisiana), who passed away on September 10, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clemence Fontenot and Agnes Hebert; her brothers, Clemence Fontenot, Jr., Mervis Fontenot and Robert Fontenot; her grandchildren, Lerin Abshire, April Abshire and Jennifer Abshire; and her great grandchildren, Rose Rudd and Ariela Rudd.
She is survived by: her husband John O. Abshire of Cow Island; her children, Carl D. Abshire (Carlos) of Forked Island, Patrick Abshire of Cow Island, Roderick Abshire of Kaplan, Arnold Abshire of Cow Island, Cynthia A. Trahan of Cow Island and Lisa A.; her husband Raywood of Forked Island; her siblings, Margie Fontenot of Lafayette, Joyce Istre of Kaplan, Jane Landry of Abbeville and Dallas Fontenot of Kaplan; and also Stelly of Forked Island. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
