He was predeceased by: his wife Ella Jean Villejoin Mire; his parents, Theonis Mire and Olite Mire; his daughter Sherline Mire LeBoeuf; his granddaughter Erica Faith Mire; and his siblings, Revis, Ernest, Elton, Ellis, Allison, Joseph, Olive and Helen Mire.

He is survived by: his children, Kerry Mire (Joetta), Deborah Meaux (Gregg), Patricia Mire-Watson (Glen) and Jessica Riebel (Duane); his grandchildren, Chad Mire (Crystal), Mitch Meaux (Brooke), Marcell Gary (Tara), Emily Thibodeaux, Melanie Myers (Brian), Madilyn Meaux, Blake Riebel, Melissa Watson and Scott Riebel; his great grandchildren, Gage Meaux, Jude Meaux, Gracyn Meaux, Asher Meaux, Lydia Meaux, Cole Mire, Jack Mire, Stella Mire, Luke Clement, Oliver Gary, Mason Myers and Madison Myers; and his brothers, Edward Sabra Mire, Harry Mire and Harris Mire.

Due to the current pandemic, the family requests that services to the public be limited to the graveside.
