He was predeceased by: his parents, John Demette and Mercedes Primeaux; and his sisters, Betty D. Dummond, Jeanne D. Breaux and Dorothy Heath.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle Demette of Kaplan; his sister Deanna D. Broussard (Edmar) of Kaplan; and his godchildren, Tina Hebert of Lafayette, Jessica Trahan Gaspard of Kaplan, Marvin Heath, Jr. of Gueydan, April Boutte Bourque of Jennings and Crystal Hebert of New Iberia.
