Floyd James Broussard Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 26, 2021, at the age of 86, Floyd James Broussard of Kaplan, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Broussard and Eve Abshire; and his siblings, Wilson Broussard, Wilbert Broussard, Thelma Broussard and Ethel Broussard.

He is survived by: his son Todd Broussard of Kaplan; his grandson-in-law Kevin Choate; his wife Geneva "Genny" Nunez Broussard of Kaplan; his sons, Gary Broussard (Sheila) of Bossier City and Eric Broussard (Andrea D.) of Coteau; his siblings, Bertile Harrington (Mahlen) of Nunez, Audrey Simon (Dayton) of Abbeville and Theodore "Sam" Broussard (Dee) of Cow Island; his grandchildren, Aaron Broussard (Julie) of Kingwood, TX, Matthew Broussard (Eryn) of San Angelo, TX and Ashley Choate (Kevin) of Kaplan; his great grandchildren, Eva Broussard, Aubrey Broussard, Brielle Broussard, Clara Broussard, Hayden Broussard, Rylan Broussard, Charlotte Choate and Samuel Choate; his stepgrandchildren, Ashley Sumrall, Brady Sumrall (Lauren) and Emily Lancon; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Cameron Decuir, Kale Decuir, Landon Decuir, Amalie Sumrall and Caroline Sumrall.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in his name to Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church or Hospice of Acadiana.
