He was predeceased by: his wife Verna Gaspard Dartez; and his parents, Luke Frances Dartez and Bernice Harrington. He is survived by: his children, Darrel "Budo" Dartez of Forked Island, Todd Dartez (Terry) of Cow Island, Bonnie Menard, Dale Meaux of Cow Island and Kim LeBeouf (Sammy) of Kaplan; and his half-brother Floyd Gaspard of Kaplan. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
