He is survived by: his children, Howard James Abshire of Kentucky and Angel Renee Abshire of Kaplan; and his siblings, John Leslie Abshire (Donna) of Abbeville, Tammy Abshire Harrington of Abbeville and Linda Gail Parker (Lee) of Youngsville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
