He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sr. Chauvin and Enola Chauvin; his siblings, Robert Chauvin Jr., Oscar Chauvin and Roberta Fox; and his close friend Cliffton Alleman.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Young; his children, Todd Chauvin, Pamela Chauvin Trahan (Marshall Trahan), Kimberly Chauvin Etie' (Shawn Etie') and Clayton Chauvin; his grandchildren, Zachary Chauvin, Jake Chauvin, Maddison Chauvin, Emiley Chauvin, Maggie Lackie (Matt Lackie), Mallory Trahan, Morgan Trahan and Everett Etie; his sisters, Rose Williams and Mary Ann Stoutes; and his son Tony Meaux. He is also survived by his loving wife, 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
