He was predeceased by: his parents, Molear Bertrand and Laura Bertrand; and his siblings, Darrel Bertrand, Wayne Bertrand and Gloria Faulk.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Palombo of Kaplan; his children, Cody Bertrand of Jennings, Kimberly Boudreaux (Jeffery) of Lake Arthur, Marcea Edwards (Christopher) of Jennings, Linnea Istre of Gueydan, Ashley Broussard (Rahn) of Kaplan and Shallon Haglar (James Lewis); and his sister Barbara Guidry of Kaplan. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
