He was predeceased by: his wife Mae Rose Dubois Matte; his children, Cheryl Ann Matte, Patricia Rose Matte and Patrick; and his parents, Dave Matte and Helena Meaux.
He is survived by: his children, Allen Matte (Julie) of Kaplan, Aaron Matte (Susan) of Port Neches, TX and Glenda "Susie" Touchet of Kaplan. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
