He was predeceased by: his daughter Cynthia Romaine; his parents, Alfred Ray Romaine, Sr and Eunice Martel; and his sister Mary Emily Romaine. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Compete; his children, Keith Romaine (Donna, Al Romaine), Charles Romaine (Connie), Richard Romaine (Erin), Pam Romaine, Sue Sonnier (Bert) and Laura Romaine; and his siblings, Madison "Buddy" Romaine, Larry Romaine (Annie) and Rayetta Bush. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Vitas Hospice Houston.
