He is survived by: his wife Joyce Thompson Payne; his sons, Michael Payne (Talisha) of San Antonio, TX., Derrick Thompson (Angela) of Bad Kreuznach, GE and Reginald Payne of Bogalusa, LA.; his friend Dr. Mary Cook of Ocean Springs, MS; and also Earnest Goode of Newport News, VA..
