He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Kendrick and Sherrard Nicholson; and his brothers, Tom Frith, Butch Frith, Charlie Hodges and Robin Peoples.

He is survived by: his wife Dianne Scott Nicholson of Jonesville, LA; his children, Jennifer (Robert Kinberger) of Alexandria, LA., Nick Nicholson (Cari Ann) of Manifest, LA., Micah Nicholson (Mary Beth) of Natchitoches, LA, Laura Bradley of Vicksburg, MS, Elizabeth McGlothin (Glen) of Jonesville, LA., Amanda Owens (Scott) of Oak Grove, LA., Rachel Mulvihill (Denis) of Vidalia, LA. and Jessica Otwell (Chad) of Jena, LA; and his sisters, Ann Marchese, Connie Sue Harris, Odessa Freeman, Deadrah Johnson and Brees. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
