Martha Taliaferro Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Taliaferro of Jonesville, Louisiana, who passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Martha farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Martha is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton I. Carter and Emily Wright Carter (Husband-Henry "Hat" Taliaferro Jr.); her sister Altonette Carter Wilson; and her daughter-in-law Tina Taliaferro. She is survived by: her children, Robyn Taliaferro of Jena, LA and Trey Taliaferro of Jonesville, LA; her grandchildren, Tal Taliaferro (Leigha) of Monterey, LA and Madison Taliaferro Hall (Matthew) of Bastrop, LA; and her great grandchildren, Harvey Hall and Slade Taliaferro. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harrisonburg First Baptist Church (600 Bushley St, Harrisonburg, LA 71340). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
