He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Coon and Margaret Coon; and his siblings, Rosa Tolar, Lois Smith and David Coon (Claudine Coon).
He is survived by: his wife Claudine; his children, Margaret Coon of Winnfield, Mary Lou Blackley of Winnfield and Bill Coon (Karen) of Universal City, TX; his grandchildren, John Hicks (April) of Sylvia, NC and Allison Young (Lance); his sister Juanita Dowdy of West Monroe, Louisiana; his sisters-in-law, Mary Bert Arnold (Sid) of Jonesville, Gracie LeBlanc (Gene) of Abbeville and Bobbie Coon Gaubert of Belle Chasse; and his uncle Bud.
