With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George LaPrairie Sr. of Jonesville, Louisiana, born in Larto, Louisiana, who passed away on March 26, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marvyn LaPrairie; his parents, Frank LaPrairie and Ida LaPrairie; his granddaughter Sheri LaPrairie; and his siblings, Mike LaPrairie, Ronnie LaPrairie and Neva White.
He is survived by: his sons, George LaPrairie (Becky) of Larto, LA, Darrell LaPrairie (Gayle) of Jonesville, LA, Wallace LaPrairie (Beverly) of Larto, LA and Tommy LaPrairie (Nina) of Larto, LA; his grandchildren, Tim LaPrairie, Tess O'Rourke (Kevin), Jennifer Sharp (Justin) and Mark LaPrairie (Amber); and his siblings, Bernice McKnight, Helen Ashley, Barbra Stermer, Nelson LaPrairie and Frank LaPrairie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
